We can meet you at the airport and arrange for meals and accomodations, as needed. Arabian horseback rides can be arranged while your tour is visiting the Sakkara monuments, or we can drive you to Sakkara and arrange any agenda you like. We can arrange and host the following activities:
- Horseback rides, short or long, from beginners to expert riders, on our beautiful Arabian horses.
- Riding lessons
- Visits to the Bent Pyramid and Red Pyramid in Dashour, the Zozer step pyramid and tombs in Sakkara, the Giza pyramids, the Memphis museum, by car, or on horseback, by camel, or horse or donkey cart.
- Camel rides
- Day or overnight trips in the desert (desert cookouts and overnight desert camping).
- Shopping at the Khan il Khalili in Cairo, or anywhere in the Cairo area.
- Visiting and shopping in the village of Sakkara (including carpet shops).
- Visits to village homes to experience Egyptian hospitality
- Enjoy our delicious home cooking, prepared in very sanitary conditions, for breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks
- For those who prefer more luxury, we can arrange meals and accomodations at the fine Palm Club hotel in Sakkara, with its lovely swimming pool and tennis courts, away from the busy traffic of Cairo.
- If you live in the area, we are always available for riding, meals, outings in the countryside, birthday parties, horse dancing entertainment, or anything you might like to do in the area.
The Egyptian pyramids and ruins near Sakkara are from the Old Kingdom; the step pyramid was built before the smooth sided ones. There are several tombs with beautiful paintings. There are many excavations in progress. One can ride around to them on horses or camels, although they are not normally open to the public. Nearby are the pyramids of Abu Sir and Dashour. At Dashour, you may climb down into the Bent Pyramid and Red Pyramid. Each of these sites is an easy car ride away from Sakkara, or a longish horse or camel ride, which can certainly be arranged. It is possible to arrange horseback rides or camel rides from Giza to Sakkara. This requires several hours of riding, and is best done when it is not too hot.
